Waste Not, Want Not (Nutrients) is the eleventh episode of the second season of The Magic School Bus Rides Again. It first released on Netflix worldwide on April 13, 2018.
Ms. Frizzle’s outfit[]
Ms. Frizzle's necklace is a dung beetle, while her skirt depicts "the nutrient cycle" or the fertilization of plants. Shown on the skirt are butterflies, an elephant defecating, dung beetles moving the dung, and flowers using the waste for fertilizer.

DA's famous inventor uncle explains why: the plants need 'Brown Gold', a special nutrient to help them thrive. But when the class discovers what the substance actually is—poop—they refuse to help collect enough to save her plants. Can DA convince the class that waste is an important part of nature's life cycle and help her save the flowers—and can she do it all in song?

The Magic School Bus Rides Again segment[]
At Walkerville Elementary School, Arnold (wearing a blonde wig in the style of 1980s British rock) and Dorothy Ann (wearing a flower crown) are deciding on whether to give the class musical the theme of flowers ("Flower Power") or rocks ("Rock Opera"). Liz gives a drumroll and Ms. Frizzle announces the winner of the theme, which turns out to be Dorothy Ann's choice of "flower power," exciting her and everyone except Arnold, who takes off his wig in disappointment, saying he must have "bought this wig for nothing."
