The Magic School Bus Inside a Beehive is the eighth book in the original book series. It released in 1996 for the 10th anniversary of The Magic School Bus At the Waterworks.
Its episode counterpart is "In a Beehive" from season 3 of The Magic School Bus.
Plot[]
When the bus turns into a beehive, Professor Frizzle's students change into honeybees. They must gain entry into a hive so they can see firsthand just how the workers, drones, and queen live together.

- This is coincidentally the release year that this book published with its TV counterpart, “In A Beehive”, which was the same year season 3 aired.
- This book was featured in the ending "Visit Your Local Library" promo for season 3 of The Magic School Bus as the new MSB book for 1996.
- This is the final book with the old cover art.
- This is the final book to be released before And the Electric Field Trip.
- This book was also featured in the Season 4 book promo at the end of the funding credits & was featured in the “And The Electric Field Trip” book promo for Season 2 VHS tapes.
- In the episode, the students change into bees. In the book, they wear bee suits.
